Clark Park collaborates regularly with individuals who want to help make a difference in lives of children. Volunteers help as coaches getting involved in youth programming, hosting informational resource events, and more. You can make a tangible difference in the lives of southwest Detroit’s families by combining your passions and resources with ours.
Ways to Get Involved
Mentoring
Throughout each year we hope to involve youth in non-sports programs to cater different interests such as photography, art, gardening, journalism, homework help, and more. If you would like to contribute your passions and interests by inspiring our youth, please sign up here, or contact our non-sports program manager, Myett Risker at mrisker@yahoo.com.
Individual Volunteering
Are you looking to fulfill some volunteer hours or would just like to help serve your community? We can use volunteers every day and during special events. If you would like to volunteer on specific dates and times, please see our volunteer calendar to schedule your hours. If you would simply like to volunteer your time as needed, please click here to add your name to our list.
Coaching
Clark Park provides free and low cost recreational sports to youth who would otherwise not have access. Our volunteer coaches are vital to the success of our players and programs. If you’re interested in making an impact on the lives of our youth, we hope you’ll consider becoming a coach! Coaches are required to go through an online training and background screening. Please refer to our programs page to sign up in the program you wish to coach.
Game Assistance
We are always looking for scorekeepers, volunteers who want to help out with landscaping and field preparation, assistant coaches and team managers. Sign up here.
Corporate / Group Volunteering
If you would like to organize a corporate or organizational volunteering day with Clark Park, please sign up through our online volunteer form to set up a date. If you have specific ideas/visions for your volunteer day, please call us after booking online at 313-841-8534.
Youth Board (For young, visionary volunteers!)
Are you looking for volunteer hours but want a fulfilling volunteer experience? We can help you build your resume while you serve!
